The 1 RU T/Mon SLIM

The Perfect Alarm Master to Monitor Your Medium-Sized Network
If you think your network isn't big enough to justify a NOC, think again. The T/Mon SLIM scales big-system functions in a package suitable for smaller network budgets. If you're checking multiple screens to find alarms, you will miss a critical alarm - it's just a matter of time. That easily correctable alarm will go unnoticed until it causes a service-affecting event. You can escape these dangers by integrating all your alarms, from all your sites, to one common platform. T/Mon SLIM monitors all your equipment - no matter who made it, or what protocol it uses - and display all your alarms on one screen. Web Link Read Full Story

DPS Telecom's 20th Anniversary

It's hard to believe, but Oct 2006 will mark DPS' 20th anniversary. It seems like just yesterday that we were preparing the office for opening day. Where does the time go? What begun as a 3-person software design house in a 1,700-sq-foot facility has matured into a key provider of alarm monitoring solutions for Telecommunications networks worldwide.

Over that time period we’ve developed lots of products, grown as a company, and changed locations 4 times (and we'll be breaking ground next month on our new 28,000-sq-ft production facility).

The one thing that hasn’t changed in the last 20 years is our guiding principle: to support our clients. This issue of The Protocol highlights how Consolidated Communications is using our recently developed NetGuardian 216T to monitor huts over a T1 FrameRelay connection.

At DPS, we understand that our clients make our company possible. Many of them have been with us and grown with us since the early days. For our newer clients, we’ve included a brief DPS retrospective in this month's issue.

I ’d like to take this moment to thank all of you for your past and future patronage.
